Campione Della Luce. Italian golden demon 2005, gold in monster category
Oh jesus that’s good. Man, I really need to get some Bretonnians done again…
I’m not going to even bother writing out the army list, but I present to you the gathered forces of the Adanac Reach Crusade, in all their 3000 points of glory. I’m going to a friend’s for an almost-apocalypse game, and will be posting some pics of epic glory and righteous conquest. Stay tuned!
And, after an age and a half of fiddling around with green stuff and painting techniques, I present Grand Marshal Artorius, Commander of the Adanac Reach Crusade, High Castellan of the Dorn’s Reach Fortress, Lord of Siberis, and admiral of the Adanac Reach Crusade Fleet.
Let’s just say I wanted to make a Sicarius equivalent within the Black Tempalrs, an upstart lord with titles coming out the ass and an insatiable thirst for glory. I rather like him.
Here’s what I’ve been working on while I’ve been waiting for my shipment of new marines to come in; apparently, it’s worth it to paint individual Sword Brothers now, what with the way the new codex works.
And as for the initiates with the white faceplates… Well, I have some fluff in mind for them. They’re initiates on the way to Sword Brethren status, senior members of crusader squads and experienced veterans given honours by the Marshal. They’re sort of an in-between model from Initiate to Sword Brother, and one that I can use for command squads, sergeants, and the like.
On second thought, that dinky little sword wasn’t nearly impressive enough for my counts-as chapter master Grand Marshal. Have this, now with 50% more purity.
Okay, I think that worked. Everyone, meet my marshal.
Emperor guide my hands, and teacheth my fingers to not tremble as I undertake this sacred task.
Just for fun, I tried making some burnt-out ruins out of popsickle sticks; I like the result a fair bit, so I’ll probably end up making a full set of a few more buldings and some rubble-strewn area terrain.
Best part, of course, is that’s it’s usable for both Fantasy and 40k!
Is that a converted Command Squad Champion I smell? It is!
Man, that took way too long to do, but I must say, I’m pretty happy with the end result. Now the only question is whether or not to weather the thing… I find I’m really liking the clean, manufactorum-fresh look.
